This historic Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese blend was originally thought to have been named after Roccaldo Acuti, the 19th century patriarch of the estate. Although he was searching for a plot of land to produce Brunello di Montalcino, he instead happened on Montefili and planted Cabernet Sauvignon alongside the indigenous Sangiovese – giving birth to Bruno di Rocca “Bruno” for Brunello and “Rocca” for Roccaldo!
This gorgeous Supertuscan remains the estate’s flagship, with only c. 2,500 bottles produced per vintage. Each bottle is a vibrant and mesmerising blend of bright fruit, earthy spice and honeyed notes. This is both muscular and sleek, with concentrated flavors and good textural depth.
