The more structured of Giorgio Negro’s Barbarescos, made with a combination of fruit from the Albesani and the Gaja Principe crus and aged in 500 litre Austrian, French and Slavonian oak barrels. The 2017 is characterised by aromatic notes of ripe berries, blue flowers and woodland spice, with the rounded palate offering concentrated dark fruit, liquorice and a touch of porcini mushroom on the finish.
