The more feminine of Giorgio Negro’s Barbarescos, the Gallina is produced from grapes picked from vineyards from just behind the cellar. Aged in 500 litre Austrian, French and Slavonian oak barrels. Aromas of crushed cherries, forest floor and rose petal characterise this balanced offering from the 2020 vintage. There are similar notes on the palate, culminating in a structured, powerful finish laced with powerful tannins and a hint of balsamico.
