The Germano family recently inherited a tiny 0.5 hectare plot in the Vigna Rionda cru – considered by many to be one of (if not the) best vineyards in all of Barolo growing region. The immaculate 2016 vintage has blessed this wine with alluring aromas of forest flower, wild berry and cooking spice. The lovely palate combines raspberry compote, candied cherry, orange peel and a hint of tobacco. A firm backbone of sleek tannins is balanced by the bright acidity. A touch of saline minerality caresses the smooth yet robust finish.
