The more structured of Giorgio Negro’s Barbarescos, made with a combination of fruit from the Albesani and the Gaja Principe crus and aged in 500 litre Austrian, French and Slavonian oak barrels. The wonderful 2016 vintage lends vibrant aromas of blueberry compote, dried roses and wild herbs whilst the structured palate offers juicy cherry, pomegranate and hints of chocolate. Noble tannins are balanced by a lovely acidity.
