The more feminine of Giorgio Negro’s Barbarescos, the Gallina is produced from grapes picked from vineyards from just behind the cellar. Aged in 500 litre Austrian, French and Slavonian oak barrels, the 2019 vintage evokes notes of red berry, lavender and wild herbs alongside the structured body with harmoniously integrated tannins and a touch of roasted coffee bean on the finish.
