Gaiun is a distinct, south-facing parcel located at the western end of the singular Martinenga cru. Alessandro di Grésy describes 2018 as a remarkably misunderstood vintage – the extremely wet conditions in the Spring, while challenging, provided for a cooler growing season that expressed the classical elegance and finesse of Nebbiolo. Delicately perfumed with scents of wild strawberry and red flower, the structure from the Gaiun parcel is evident from the fine tannins permeating the multi-layered palate.
