Patrick Javillier is renowned for his expertise in crafting white wines from the Cote de Beaune that punch well above their weight. Despite small holdings in premier cru and grand cru, Patrick has perfected the art of blending fruit from different climats (or plots) to vinify wines greater than the sum of its parts.
This Savigny-villages is a perennial favourite each year. A shy nose eventually presents classic citrus and white fruit. The palate is soft and rich at the same time, with good density of ripe fruit on the mid palate and a rich, fleshy, medium- length finish. Very enjoyable and fantastic value as a lovely introduction to the Javillier style of winemaking.
